Issue

The script supplied in this guide to automatically deploy the required permissions has finished with errors and the portal can not be accessed

Resolution

To resolve you can manually add in the permission. 

1) Login to portal.azure.com with an account with full administrator privileges for the tenant

2) In the list of services select Enterprise Applications.

3) In the list of applications should be one referencing the VBO365 Restore portal with application ID d398b2ed-16b2-4c5e-b07e-bb0c0c2eded7:

4) Click into the app, under Security select Permissions.

5) Select the option for Grant admin consent for Contoso

6) You should now be able too login to 365.backupserver.cloud as a restore operator
